Honey roasted peanuts, lime and orange zest, raspberry sorbet, and plum.

Finish:

Long finish with nutmeg, leather, and dried cherries.

Final Thoughts:

As with all Barrell bourbons, they come in a wide variety of sourced distilleries, age statements, and proofs, but always non-chill filtered. Batch 33 is a blend of 5-9 year Kentucky, Indiana, and Tennessee bourbons at 116.6 proof. After giving this bottle time to breathe, the dessert notes in this pour become much more prominent. The oak shines through along with a hit of nutmeg and ginger spices that balance the sweetness. Overall, I enjoy this batch and the creaminess created within it.
