Final Thoughts:

In world that can sometimes feel overwhelmed with craft whiskey offerings, it is nice to see a new release that is distilled in house, aged for more than the minimum two years (for “straight” distinction), and priced at under $40. Prelude is the inaugural rye offering from Fortune’s Fool, and it hits all the notes with a little sweet, a touch of spice, and just enough heat to keep things exciting. Particularly at this price point, the Prelude is worth trying!
